I’d actually love to see more Scarlet stuff in upcoming content because they’re some of my favorite villains and I think it could lead to some interesting stories, though I don’t think I’d go as far as wanting them to be a whole new Allied race. There’s also room for personal story development for Lillian Voss in such a scenario, so I’m not necessarily opposed. That itself could provide interesting story opportunities though, so I suppose it’s a matter of personal taste and what kind of stories one wants to see in this hypothetical scenario.

Taking major narrative steps to make the Scarlets’ less villainous might change that, but as it currently stands, any significant efforts by the Scarlets to expand their influence are likely to meet strong opposition from Acherus (unless the Ebon Blade is too preoccupied by other matters to react). It’s probably also worth noting that the Knights of the Ebon Blade are sworn enemies of the Scarlet Crusade, for various understandable and sometimes very personal reasons.

I wouldn’t say that it’s impossible, but it would take a lot of narrative work. They wouldn’t genuinely accept Arator without a major change in their behavior. As currently presented in their latest propaganda, the Scarlets are extremely human-supremacist, and would only be willing to feign working with the Alliance long enough to achieve their goals of retaking Lordaeron for themselves before betraying their allies. So, here’s an obstacle with that problem: you’d need to do some major work to severely change the Scarlets’ attitudes on a few things in order to make that plan work.
